Job Summary

Responsible for providing performance consultation on assigned initiatives and working closely with business stakeholders and front-line performers to ensure that proposed learning or other indicated interventions are designed with relevance for the audience and focused on producing desired business impact. Additionally, the performance consultant will provide advice and guidance to learning leaders in the development of comprehensive learning and performance strategies. The key outcomes produced and achieved by a performance consultant are: • Customers aligned on performance solution approach • Impact map, if applicable • Documented performance gaps • High-level, performance-based curriculum maps • Documented non-training solutions • Measurement plan • Key business relationships established and nurtured • Satisfied customers with additional requests for consultation and assistance


Required Qualifications

You must be an experienced human performance improvement practitioner with the ability to quickly analyze and identify barriers/enablers to workplace performance and focus investment on initiatives and activities that remove barriers, drive enablers, and produce business outcomes of value to qualify for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master degree preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive retail, wholesale, or marketing operations
  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge of Organizational Development interventions
  • An understanding of organizational dynamics
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Facilitation skills
  • Experience in the design of blended learning solutions to include eLearning, VILT and Social Collaboration.
  • Experienced proposal writer
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders to understand relevant business issues
  • Ability to evaluate and screen business issues or business change initiatives in regards to the need for performance analysis/diagnosis
  • Ability to lead initial interactions with business stakeholders, assess the situation, and align on the performance solution approach
  • Ability to conduct an Impact Map/needs assessment and document findings
  • Ability to conduct a gap assessment to prioritize potential performance improvement solutions
  • Ability to facilitate discussions around holistic business solutions
  • Ability to develop and present to the business proposed learning strategies and recommend other non-training interventions
  • Ability to create high-level, performance-based curriculum maps
  • Ability to effectively advocate the value of performance analysis and diagnostics
  • Ability to liaise with SMEs and ISDs to drive accurate content
  • Ability to develop measurement plans to evaluate solution effectiveness
  • Ability to evaluate pilot and deployed solutions for effectiveness
  • Continued oversight of business initiatives and learning solution (don’t launch and leave)
  • Proven experience in the Human Performance Improvement field
  • Broad knowledge of learning interventions
  • Must be able to satisfy pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle records search and criminal background check requirements.
